Planned Parenthood and Work & Co Launch ‘Tracking Trump’
June 05, 2018
Work & Co and Planned Parenthood have launched “Tracking Trump” —a digital tool that helps people keep tabs on policy changes and track government officials who are impacting our healthcare and reproductive rights.
TrackingTrump.org empowers citizens with infographics, research, and push notifications on key changes to federal policies and the election of new officials. It’s also keeping tabs on unelected appointees who wield power and threaten our freedoms.
The platform is designed to scale and evolve over time. The effort kicked off with a billboard takeover in Times Square, New York that alerted users to the new site.
Said Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund: “Technology has created amazing opportunities for us to reach people in different ways, and we’re continually looking for innovative approaches to get them the information and care they need — whether that’s on the phone, in a health center, or how to fight for their health and rights. The Trump-Pence administration is doing all it can to slip dangerous policies under the radar, but TrackingTrump.org upends that.” She added: “Bottom line: You can’t protect your rights if you don’t know they’re being threatened.”
“We’re basically buried in an avalanche of headlines each news cycle, making it really hard to keep track of what the administration is actually doing,” said Jessica Bauer-Greene, Associate Design Partner at Work & Co. “And they are doing things that have a huge impact on almost all of us. So we focused on creating a simple tool that —amidst the chaos— can present real, unbiased information in a way everyone can understand.”
Tracking Trump comes as Planned Parenthood is investing more in digital to extend the 100-year old organization’s reach. As part of that focus, Work & Co is designing and developing a series of new products and services launching this year.
