Work & Co Hits 250, Expands in Portland
October 02, 2018
Just over five years after opening, Work & Co has crossed 250 team members globally — based in offices across the United States, Brazil and Europe.
The company partners with clients — including Apple, Google, Acorns, ALDO, Panera, Philz Coffee — via lean, fully-dedicated teams that are engaged from concept through launch. Teams represent four core disciplines: engineers, designers, strategists, product managers.
To help support growth, Work & Co expanded into a new Portland office this year. It was custom-built in partnership with architecture firm Casework, founded by Casey Keasler — whose spaces have been featured in The New York Times and Architectural Digest.
The space, said Fast Company, is “more extreme in some ways than your average open plan — while partners and senior leadership do sit with everyone else rather than having their own offices, the desks don’t really belong to anyone in particular. Instead, they were designed to be modular and to shift so that the company’s designers and developers can sit with their teams as they move from project to project.”
