Work & Co Expands in Europe with Copenhagen Presence
February 26, 2019
As part of an ongoing mission to attract the world’s top talent in product strategy, engineering and design, Work & Co is establishing a new office in Copenhagen.
Work & Co’s total office count is now six. With 283 team members across three core skill sets —design, engineering, and product management and strategy— the company’s other offices are located in: Brooklyn, Portland, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belgrade.
“Scandinavia has always had a strong design heritage,” said Casey Sheehan, design partner at Work & Co. “The region also leads the way when it comes to work-life balance, a core value of our company since the start. Our strategy for opening offices has always been to go where the best talent prefers to live. Copenhagen is another of those hubs.”
The Copenhagen presence also supports collaboration with a new client, IKEA.
Said Barbara Martin Coppola, chief digital officer at IKEA: “Work & Co’s known for its track record of defining and launching the world’s best digital experiences —especially in retail. That’s why we chose them to help IKEA improve engagement with our customers across e-commerce, mobile shopping and in-store experiences. We envision a long partnership with Work & Co and I couldn’t be happier to collaborate even more closely with their newest European office, just across the river from our Malmo headquarters.”
Since opening in 2013, other European-based clients Work & Co has partnered with include Rapha, Mercedes-Benz, Canyon Bicycles, and LVMH. Additionally, a significant portion of Work & Co’s existing team hails from Europe.
The office, based in cultural and business center of Indre By, will be led by Brock Boddie, General Manager of Work & Co Copenhagen.
