Laura Ambrose Joins as Design Director
October 22, 2015
As part of its strategy to gather the most proven hands-on talent, Work & Co announces an addition to its leadership. Laura Ambrose, who has created award-winning digital experiences for Apple, HBO, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Chase and The White House, joins as Design Director.
“I was drawn to the company’s philosophy that everyone is really doing the work… even the senior team members are hands on,” Ambrose said. “And honestly, I really love our policy of no timesheets—the focus here is on doing great work versus racking up billable hours.”
Ambrose was formerly Creative Director at Huge, where she oversaw the motion design discipline. “Laura brings with her another level of production and motion quality,” said Jon Jackson (Partner, Design). “From being able to quickly see something move or creating polished production assets, she is invaluable… and a pretty great person to be around everyday.”
Ambrose is charged with the integration of motion into all elements of Work & Co’s process, through creative direction, concepting, animation, and prototyping. She began her career as an architect, but soon realized her true passion was for digital design, specifically motion graphics. She then earned her Masters degree in Design and Technology from Parsons and never looked back.
