6 Templates, 75 Million Users: The New Oi.com.br

Oi, the largest telecommunications provider in South America, announces the launch of Oi.com.br, a new digital customer service and sales channel to better serve its nearly 75 million subscribers.
Oi tapped Work & Co’s Brazilian office in 2014 to lead product strategy, design and development of the brand’s first ever responsive experience. Work & Co’s overhaul focused on simplicity and efficiency, leading to a site that is 5x faster than before, with the quickest loading times in the category.
The site takes advantage of personalization and anticipatory design techniques to maintain a relevant experience for users. Said Felipe Memoria, Work & Co Design Partner: “Our goal was to humanize interactions with the Oi brand and provide support in-context, simplifying the sometimes daunting task of comparing service plans.”
Rather than simply seek to increase engagement for engagement’s sake, the goal for Oi was to reduce unnecessary time spent time on the site.
A close collaboration in Rio de Janeiro between the internal Oi team and its partners allowed Work & Co to work seamlessly with the client and create a site that is highly attuned to Oi’s specific business needs. The telecom represents the biggest client on the roster at Work & Co’s fast-expanding Brazilian operations.
