Eurosport Player Wins a One Show Award

The new Eurosport Player has just been honored by the One Show with a Silver Pencil for Best User Experience, in addition to being voted the People’s Champ by the Pixel Awards. The wins for Eurosport coincide with new recognition for Work & Co from The Webby Awards, where Virgin America won in the category for User Experience, and Work.co, was selected for Professional Services site as well as the People’s Voice vote.
The award-winning Eurosport experience has also been winning the loyalty of millions of sports fans across Europe for its comprehensive cross-platform design that enables viewers to stream live sports content anytime, on any device.
As the largest provider of sports content in Europe, streaming in 54 countries and over 20 languages, Eurosport partnered with Work & Co to reimagine the sport viewing experience for the Eurosport Player subscription service.
Putting the live sports experience first, viewers are never asked to leave the live event: any supporting content, such as alternate camera angles, replays, or statistics, is integrated directly over the video.
This also meant making live sports content available to stream on any device: the Eurosport Player was designed for desktop, mobile and tablet (iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile), gaming systems, and connected TVs.
