Work & Co Nominated for Three Webby Awards
April 20, 2016
Work & Co is honored to have three projects nominated for Webby Awards this year. The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, and has been named “the Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times.
For 2016, we have been nominated for three website categories: Television for the Smithsonian Channel, Best User Experience for Virgin America, and Professional Services for our own website, work.co. In addition, our redesign of The Metropolitan Opera’s website was selected as an Honoree for Cultural Institutions.
SMITHSONIAN CHANNEL - TELEVISION
The Smithsonian Channel’s new website introduces a radical new video player experience: one that gives the enthusiast an uninterrupted, full-screen viewing experience while also enabling the casual user the ability to browse content and listen to video.
VIRGIN AMERICA - BEST USER EXPERIENCE
Who says airline websites are too complex to be responsive? The new site experience, anchored by a single-page booking flow, has been named one of the most impressive industry evolutions and has increased conversion by over 10%.
WORK.CO - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Designing a corporate website for a digital agency is an opportunity to communicate your values through your craft. For our own website, this meant proposing a brand new paradigm for navigating web content. It’s also lightning fast, and takes the concept of responsive design further, with a fourth breaking point for extra large monitors. The transparency of the site tells you exactly what we do and how we work, without the jargon.
