Virgin America’s New Website Wins Cannes Lion

Work & Co was awarded the Bronze Lion in Design for Websites at this year’s Cannes Lions ceremony, for the redesign of VirginAmerica.com. The responsive website—launched in summer 2014 after a ten-month collaborative process with Virgin America—was also shortlisted for two Lion awards within another category, Cyber: for Websites, and Interface & Navigation.

The awards, held June 24 in the south of France, receive over 34,000 submissions from around the world every year, and over 11,000 people attend. Gene Liebel, Partner, Product Management, at Work & Co, said, "It’s rare to be recognized at Cannes for a transactional site that serves as a client’s primary revenue channel, and not just a venue for storytelling. I really think our engineering team deserves the credit for this one."
