Fast Company Names Claro's App Best in Latin America
September 30, 2020
The 2020 Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards set out to honor solutions to the world’s most urgent problems, revealing inspiring visions of a better future —and this year, Claro’s new mobile app (“Minha Claro móvel”) has been named a winner in the Best Design of Latin America category.
Claro’s digital, marketing, and IT teams —as part of their ongoing digital transformation to drive better customer service for millions in Brazil and beyond—partnered with the Work & Co on strategy, technology, and design to bring the new mobile experience to life.
“Claro customers now have a better way to engage with the company and manage their services using an app that was designed with their experience in mind,” said Claro’s Chief Digital Officer Rodrigo Modesto Duclos. “We wanted to raise the bar for telecom, being obsessive about simplicity, directness, and above all usability. Being clear —‘Claro’— is in our brand, and now we have translated it to our app as we continue evolving and innovating all touchpoints.”
“Claro customers can now manage their accounts with far less friction and far more simplicity than ever before,” wrote Fast Company, calling out the new My Claro product’s ability to combine “a scalable mobile framework with clever features.”
The 2020 Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards also recognized Work & Co and its clients in several other categories including: Social Good, Apps & Games, Sports & Recreation, Data Design, Wellness, User Experience, and General Excellence.
- Gatorade’s Highlights app was honored in both the Apps & Games and Sports & Recreation categories.
- Help Supply — a new online tool that connects healthcare workers to the volunteer services and support they need to keep up the fight against COVID-19 — is a finalist in the Social Good category and received an honorable mention in the General Excellence category.
- IKEA’s data ethics work is a finalist in the Data Design and General Excellence categories.
- Daily Harvest’s app is a finalist in the Apps & Games and Wellness categories and also received an honorable mention in the User Experience category.
