MTA Map, Give Blck Win 2021 Webby Awards
May 18, 2021
Each year, the Webby Awards honor the best of the internet. But in 2021 —following a year of the world moving fully online to stay connected, work, shop, donate — the awards show honored work that solves our most urgent problems and inspires visions of a better future.
Two Work & Co projects — the MTA’s New Live Subway Map and Give Blck, a new philanthropy platform elevating Black-led nonprofits — were chosen as winners.
- The MTA map is both a Webby Winner and Webby People’s Voice Winner in the category of Best Mobile User Experience*.* Visit it at map.mta.info.
- Give Blck is a Webby Winner for Charitable and Non-Profit web and mobile sites. Visit it at giveblck.org.
Both launched in the fall of 2020. These projects ranked atop 13,500 entries, a record-breaking amount of submissions for the awards show.
Said Felipe Memoria, founding partner at Work & Co: “For the past eight years, our mission has been to build digital products that millions of people love using every day. Our team is at its best when those products also have a positive impact on the world, and today is further proof that breakthrough digital and improving our society are not mutually exclusive endeavors.”
