Vistaprint’s Growing Global E-Commerce Platform

Vistaprint Masks

At a time when community-wide action to prevent Covid-19 is so important, Vistaprint is drawing on its deep experience in production and customization to help more people wear face masks.

Early on in the pandemic, Work & Co designed and developed a new e-commerce website for the masks —cited in the Wall Street Journal as an example of companies launching innovative new products swiftly in the current environment. The site, initially launched in April, is continually evolving to meet customers’ needs.

Said Ricky Engelberg, EVP and CMO: “Throughout the pandemic, days have been more like weeks, and speed-to-market has never been more critical because of it. Within weeks, we were able to bring a first-of-its-kind product for Vistaprint to market. We worked with Work & Co in an agile and responsive way to help get masks to customers as quickly as possible – helping many small businesses prepare to reopen their doors while providing consumers with design-forward options to help normalize and ease masks into our everyday lives. Since the initial launch, we have added numerous new features, including special artist collaborations, customization for small businesses, and even a collection of masks to promote voting.” Added Engelberg: “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Work & Co as we work to help small business owners and consumers around the world.”

“Partnering with Vistaprint has proven that the speed-to-market so many brands are seeking right now hinges on focus, and the establishment of rapid feedback loops,” said Rachel Bogan, Partner of Product Management at Work & Co. “Working directly with the Vistaprint’s C-suite, including the CEO —we can actually see him inside our Figma files— enabled us to deliver a global e-commerce platform in record time. We’re also highly aligned as companies in that Vistaprint is a brand that believes in the power of technology to help people.”

The face masks are designed to have a tailored fit with adjustable earloops to maximize comfort and confidence for adults and kids. Beyond the strategy, design, and development of the e-commerce platform, some of the playful mask patterns were designed by the Work & Co team too. Inspiration included seasonal Pantone colors and contemporary prints for adults, as well as kid-friendly designs that help introduce mask-wearing to children.

Vistaprint’s masks site is live in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. To visit here. Learn more via coverage in the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Ad Age, People, New York Magazine, and PSFK’s Retail Innovation Festival.
